Environment variables

  • PYTHONUNBUFFERED Force unbuffered stdout so MCP stdio framing is never delayed by Python buffering.
  • PYTHONIOENCODING Force UTF-8 stdio so non-ASCII content in workbooks survives the round trip.
  • MCP_LOG_LEVEL Server log level. One of: debug, info, warning, error, critical.
  • OPENAI_API_KEY secret Optional. Enables AI-assisted chart suggestions and reference-image styling.
