Install

Add this to your client's MCP configuration (Claude Desktop: claude_desktop_config.json; Cursor: .cursor/mcp.json; VS Code and others use the same "mcpServers" shape).

Remote (streamable-http)
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http volanea 'https://api.volanea.com/mcp' --header 'Authorization: <Optional. Clients that support OAuth sign in through the browser and need no header. Otherwise send your Volanea API key as '\''Bearer sk_...'\'' (use an sk_test_ key while building; nothing is delivered).>'
JSON configuration (Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code)

Volanea MCP server

Connect your AI coding agent to Volanea — transactional email, campaigns, and automation on one API. Your agent can set up email in your app for you: create templates, segments, workflows, and webhooks, then prove it works with a test send.

This is a remote MCP server — there is nothing to install or run.

https://api.volanea.com/mcp

Transport: Streamable HTTP. Auth: OAuth 2.1 (your client opens a browser and you sign in to Volanea), or an API key sent as Authorization: Bearer sk_....

Connect

Claude Code

claude mcp add volanea --transport http https://api.volanea.com/mcp

To use an API key instead of signing in:

claude mcp add volanea --transport http https://api.volanea.com/mcp \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_test_..."

Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, and other MCP clients — add a server with the URL above. Clients that support OAuth sign you in automatically; otherwise set the Authorization header to your API key.

Use a test key (sk_test_...) while building: messages render and log exactly like live ones, and nothing is delivered.

What your agent can do

  • Check project status, domains, and API key mode
  • Create and render templates, segments, workflows, and webhook endpoints
  • Send test email and read back what was rendered and delivered
  • Track events and test workflows end to end
  • Create campaign drafts (a human sends them)
  • Create agent inboxes and read, search, or wait for incoming email

Frequently asked questions

What is Volanea?

Email infrastructure on Volanea: build templates, segments and workflows, send and check email.

How do I install Volanea?

It runs as a remote server. In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http volanea 'https://api.volanea.com/mcp' --header 'Authorization: <Optional. Clients that support OAuth sign in through the browser and need no header. Otherwise send your Volanea API key as '\''Bearer sk_...'\'' (use an sk_test_ key while building; nothing is delivered).>'. For other clients, paste the JSON configuration from this page into their MCP settings.

Does Volanea need an API key?

Yes. It expects Authorization, which you set in its configuration.

Is Volanea open source?

Its code is public on GitHub, but the repository does not declare a standard license.

Who maintains Volanea?

It is published by Pankaj-bit361. AI.tn lists it but does not maintain or endorse it.

From the official MCP Registry. Listing is not an endorsement: review a server's code and permissions before giving it access to your data.
