How payment works
tools/listis free.tools/callwithout payment returns an x402 v2 challenge: exact amount, network (eip155:8453), asset (USDC0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913) and recipient.- Your agent signs an EIP-3009 authorization for that amount and retries with it
(argument
x_payment, or theX-PAYMENTheader over HTTP). - The result comes back together with the on-chain settlement reference.
Your agent only needs a wallet with a little USDC on Base — no ETH.
