Frequently asked questions

What is GoDrop?

Self-hosted file host: upload a file, get a public URL an agent can paste into a pull request.

How do I install GoDrop?

It runs on your machine. In Claude Code: claude mcp add godrop -e 'GODROP_URL=<GODROP_URL>' -e 'GODROP_TOKEN=<your godrop_token>' -- docker run -i --rm ghcr.io/fatihbaltaci/godrop:1.3.1 mcp. For other clients, paste the JSON configuration from this page into their MCP settings.

Does GoDrop need an API key?

Yes. It expects GODROP_URL, GODROP_TOKEN, which you set in its configuration.

Is GoDrop open source?

Its code is public on GitHub, but the repository does not declare a standard license.

Who maintains GoDrop?

It is published by fatihbaltaci. AI.tn lists it but does not maintain or endorse it.

From the official MCP Registry. Listing is not an endorsement: review a server's code and permissions before giving it access to your data.
