Environment variables

  • CREDDA_API_KEY secret Optional Credda platform API key. Without it the public read/verify tools still work; with it the platform tools (score reads, monitors, usage) are enabled.
  • CREDDA_USER_ID Optional. The external id this server presents credentials for; needed only by mint_my_trust_token and present_my_credential (with CREDDA_API_KEY).
  • CREDDA_API_BASE Optional override for the Credda API base URL, e.g. for a staging deployment.

Frequently asked questions

What is Credda Trust?

Check a counterparty's verifiable Credda trust record; verify or present signed credentials.

How do I install Credda Trust?

It runs on your machine. In Claude Code: claude mcp add credda-trust -e 'CREDDA_API_KEY=<your credda_api_key>' -e 'CREDDA_USER_ID=<CREDDA_USER_ID>' -e 'CREDDA_API_BASE=https://api.credda.io' -- npx -y @credda/mcp-server@0.1.3. For other clients, paste the JSON configuration from this page into their MCP settings.

Does Credda Trust need an API key?

Yes. It expects CREDDA_API_KEY, which you set in its configuration.

Who maintains Credda Trust?

It is published by Credda-io. AI.tn lists it but does not maintain or endorse it.

From the official MCP Registry. Listing is not an endorsement: review a server's code and permissions before giving it access to your data.
