StoriesIG Instagram MCP Server

Hosted Model Context Protocol server for public Instagram data. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client and your AI agent reads public profiles, posts, reels, comments, likers, followers, live stories and highlights, and gets direct video links in original quality.

  • Auth: OAuth — a sign-in window opens the first time you connect

Nothing to install or host: no Instagram login, no proxies, no scraper to maintain.

Install

Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http storiesig-instagram https://api-wh.storiesig.info/instagram/mcp

Then run /mcp, pick storiesig-instagram and press Authenticate.

Claude (web and desktop)

Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste https://api-wh.storiesig.info/instagram/mcp → Add, then Connect and sign in. Works on every Claude plan; the Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds it for the organization.

ChatGPT

Turn on Developer mode (Settings → Security and login), open chatgpt.com/plugins → + → Create plugin → Create MCP application, paste the server URL, pick OAuth and connect.
