Textures skill

Textures (textures.dev) is the hover-texture library for agents. This is its agent skill: hover textures for websites, installed by your coding agent. SKILL.md tells an agent how to find and install a Texture (MCP, the shadcn registry, or a markdown fetch) and, after the first one ships, lets it offer to remember Textures for the project with a four-line rules block. The offer is one question, asked once; nothing is written without a yes, and the block is removed by deleting it.

The same file is served at https://textures.dev/skill.md.

Frequently asked questions

What is Textures?

Hover textures for websites, delivered as one self-contained React file each. Search, get, check.

How do I install Textures?

It runs as a remote server. In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http textures 'https://textures.dev/mcp'. For other clients, paste the JSON configuration from this page into their MCP settings.

Does Textures need an API key?

Its registry entry lists no required key or secret. Some features may still need an account with the service it connects to.

Is Textures open source?

Yes. Its code is on GitHub under the MIT license.

Who maintains Textures?

It is published by textures-dev. AI.tn lists it but does not maintain or endorse it.

From the official MCP Registry. Listing is not an endorsement: review a server's code and permissions before giving it access to your data.
