SnapRender Integrations

Official integrations for the SnapRender Screenshot API: give AI agents eyes. Capture any public web page as PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF, or read it as clean markdown.

SnapRender runs a hosted MCP server. Connect from any MCP client with nothing to install:

https://app.snap-render.com/mcp
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Sign in: OAuth 2.0 (the client opens a SnapRender sign-in window; Google, GitHub or email), or an API key in the Authorization: Bearer or X-API-Key header
  • Tools (11): capture, cache check, usage, signed links, content extraction, batches and webhooks (full list below)
  • Prompts: screenshot_website, compare_devices
  • Free plan: 200 screenshots a month, no credit card
  • Directory listing: SnapRender on Glama (health-checked, tool quality graded)
Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)

Open Customize, then Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector, and paste https://app.snap-render.com/mcp. Claude opens a SnapRender sign-in window; approve it and the tools are ready. Step-by-step guide: snap-render.com/claude.

Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and other clients

Setup pages for each client, with one-click install where the client supports it: snap-render.com/ai-connectors.

A client that takes headers instead of OAuth:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "snaprender": {
      "url": "https://app.snap-render.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer sk_live_your_key_here"
      }
    }
  }
}
Any MCP client (curl)
# Initialize a session
curl -X POST https://app.snap-render.com/mcp \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Accept: application/json, text/event-stream" \
  -H "X-API-Key: sk_live_your_key_here" \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"initialize","params":{"protocolVersion":"2025-03-26","capabilities":{},"clientInfo":{"name":"test","version":"1.0"}}}'

The server returns an Mcp-Session-Id header: include it in later requests to reuse the session.

Smithery

Install via Smithery for automatic setup with any MCP client.

Local MCP Server (npm)

If you prefer running locally via stdio transport:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "snaprender": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "snaprender-mcp"],
      "env": {
        "SNAPRENDER_API_KEY": "sk_live_your_key_here"
      }
    }
  }
}

See mcp-server/ for full documentation.

Frequently asked questions

What is SnapRender?

Give AI agents eyes: screenshot any URL as PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF, or read it as markdown.

How do I install SnapRender?

It runs as a remote server. In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http snaprender 'https://app.snap-render.com/mcp'. For other clients, paste the JSON configuration from this page into their MCP settings.

Does SnapRender need an API key?

Its registry entry lists no required key or secret. Some features may still need an account with the service it connects to.

Is SnapRender open source?

Yes. Its code is on GitHub under the MIT license.

Who maintains SnapRender?

It is published by User0856. AI.tn lists it but does not maintain or endorse it.

From the official MCP Registry. Listing is not an endorsement: review a server's code and permissions before giving it access to your data.
